Getting Down to Business

The start of the New Year is going very well for us and we hope that is turns out to be a great year for you as well. We have been able to get a lot of machine time in recently and parts are starting to pile up. This means we will soon be able to get all of our pending order caught up and have kits and detail sets in stock. I am sure this is good news to all as 2007 proved to be a very difficult and troublesome year and we are glad it’s past us…finally!!!
The McLaren MP4/6 kit is coming together rapidly with great expectations that the photo etch will arrive today. The only thing remaining to complete this kit is the running of the dampers and electronics connectors and this WILL NOT be a repeat of the problems we’ve faced with the Williams FW14B kit. One benefit is the dampers do not need to be anodized and the electronics connecotrs will receive a different finishing process…AMEN!!! Additionally, the new automated machines we purchased this past fall are playing a big roll in turning production around.
We have dropped some product lines as they really didn’t fit into our plans, so, we are no longer offering Tamiya kits or paints. It isn’t that we don’t like them, because we do, but it just wasn’t pratical to carry an inventory that is available in hobby shops. We will be adding to our “Tools” page some of Tamiya’s other items, so if you are in need of a kit or paints we can supply them at very competitive prices. We are also bringing in some special tools which we use ourselves and recommend you should too. Look for more information in the next couple of months.
Several of our products sold out and we are nearly complete with the second production runs to restock. We’ll be updating the web site on a more regular basis to keep you better informed on what is in stock or how soon a product will be available again. Pre-orders are still recommended as they allow us to determine where we need to focus our efforts and determine how much we need to manufacture.
