A Transparent Business

Filed under: News — paul @ 2:24 pm

Hello,

Recently I posted an apology and a question on www.f1m.com The apology was for what has happened with some orders and parts taking so long to complete and ship to customers and the questions was what information would you like to see on the site that would be of benefit. We proposed a “ticker” much like what the stock markets use which received some interest as well as the desire to have a dedicated page showing what is in stock and what the progress is of new kits nearing release. I still want to hear more so please let me know by sending a note to: thundervalleyf1@gmail.com

I think we will be doing both as there was equal interest for each.

We will also be adding more content which we think everyone will find usefull and interesting. I’ll announce this as soon as we are ready to add it to the site and go “live” with it.

This week was lost due to illness, my doctor and I are not certain what was going on but his comments of “call me if you have blood coming out of any opening” was rather concerning. I’m feeling better and we now both hope it was a very strange virus. Right now was not the time I could afford to lose an entire week, but what is one to do when it happens. I think by Monday I’ll be back to full speed and can once again focus 100% of my efforts on the dampers for the FW14B kits as well as processing paperwork and shipping orders.

My boys are out of school on June 7th., and this will put a burden on how I will get enough working hours to get things done. They will be going to tutoring for the summer, not that they need it, but as long as they enjoy it and it’s of benefit to them then I’ll pay for it. I may also look into having one of the neighbor moms help with watching the boys so I can get some extra hours to work.

Now, generally, I don’t like being so public with what is going on in my personal life, and if it is of no benefit then please let me know. However, I am attempting to find the proper balance of what it is you wnat and need to know so the business is more transparent and it’s easy for you to find the information or answers you want or need. I certainly enjoy hearing form everyone but I am also trying to find a way to reduce the volumne of e-mails I need to answer each day so I can focus more time to working. Again, please let me hear what you want and I’ll provide it.

Please keep in touch and take good care,

Paul

  1. Hello , I was browsing the web and came across your site and looked with much interest. I reside in South Africa and was wondering do you have an agent here where I can get your parts.

    Best regards

I know we have emailed already but I would like to put the following on record.

I discovered your products while looking to see if I could get some additional parts for a MP4/6 I’ve got waiting to build. I was completely taken over when I came across the super detail brakes and purchased a set. I was prepared to wait as your product range is unique and of a quality far inexcess of anything I’ve seen before or since.

I am disheartened by the must have now attitude, particularly as model making is primarily a hobby and time is not a neccessary criteria for enjoyment. I feel that I am buying in a very rare product line and am very honoured to be a small member of the Thunder Valley family. I will wait as I know it will be worth it.

I hope other customers will share my patience as there is no doubt in my mind that the quality, range and humanity you bring to your craft is worth the wait.

    Regards
