Progress Report

Hello Everyone,

It’s well past time for an update and an e-Newsletter, so, here’s the update and the e-Newsletter will be sent out as soon as time permits.

I think everything is good news and I am going to briefly mention what is happening and repost in more detail when I can send out the next e-Newsletter.

Karen has returned to work 5 weeks early and this is simply wonderful. She has completed assigning everyone their own personal file which contains all e-mails and order information. Next she will be compiling everyone’s info into a spread sheet show I can get a perfect picture of what needs to be accomplished and finally she wil be handling all the paperwork side of the business as I no longer have the time for it. She has much more she will be taking care of but those are the important areas for the time being.

The metal casting for all the products is now in stock and nearly all the photo etch has arrived. The etch for the MP4/6 kits should be here any time now and the Williams FW14B and 99T should follow shortly.

Everything is in to complete the Ferrari 641/2 kits and the only the thing I need to do to get them out the door is complete the mold fo the new airbox base and begin casting them. I’m really hoping to have that completed this weekend.

There will be three new products coming before the end of the year and one of them is a Formula Perfect kit for the new Trumpeter GT40 MkII which will include a reference CD of the actual car. Presently I have over 400 meg of images so I might need to trim it down a little. The development of this kit will happen a little at a time during the next couple of months and for the time beign we are accepting reservations only. If you would like to be on the list just send us an e-mail and we’ll contact once it has been developed and is going into production.

The other two new kits will be announced near the end of November.

I have heard a few rumors runnign aroudn the net that Thunder Valley had gone out of business and this couldn’t be any further from the truth. We are in our 20th year and I fully plan to be creating new products for the next 15 year at least. I think my list has nearly 100 new products planned so that should keep me busy for a very long time. While the last two years have been troublesome and the last year very difficult we are here for the long haul. I am painfully aware of the problems that have developed and Karen is working with me to get everything addressed once and for all. Our goal is to have a very healthy inventory by June of 2010 and go live with on-line shopping as live, real-time inventory. karen is going to be a permanent fixture her as I can no longer handle the business on my own.

That’s all for now and there will be more to come when I get time to send out an e-Newsletter. Additionally, the web site needs to be updated but we are focusing on getting orders out of here right now.
