Get Ahold of Me…

Filed under: News — paul @ 4:09 pm

Greetings and Happy Holidays Everyone,

While the equipment is humming along making parts I am reviewing everyone’s orders as well as making notes of parts that are due. I am asking the favor of everyone who is owed something to send me an e-mail listing what they have coming so I can compare it with my records to make certian I don’t miss anything or anyone. Please send a note to: info@thundervalleyf1.com and title the note: “Items Due”.

I will be sending an e-Newsletter out very soon with pictures of the progress made to date with all the parts so everyone can see that real progress is being made, even if it still is not fast enough.

I am accepting no-payment pre-orders for any of the products and I will make contact regarding each order as soon as I have complete products to ship. Many products are going to limited issue so if you are interested in something please let me know. You can always decide to pass on a purchase later.

New product releases are still on “Hold” until further notice. There are many new products that are fully developed and they are some exciting new goods. I may announce some of these new products in January but they will be handled the same as curretn orders that are coming in, and that is: no-pyament no-obligation pre-orders until they are complete and ready to ship.

The above new practice is certainly making managing the cash flow very difficult but it is a struggle I must go through while completing all the current orders.

If you wish to see a product developed and added to the line please let me know what you would like and I will give it considerable attention.

I am almost always available so please send a note or give a call to 616-365-0583 and I’ll respond or answer.

They Very Best of Holday Wishes to Everyone,

Paul

Progress Report…

Filed under: News — paul @ 1:29 pm

Hello Everyone,

The “New Equipment Fund Raiser” is nearly over and the results were pretty good. Two new machines are in the shop and what remains is to get the CNC controls in here and fitted to them. I might be able to address this after the first of the New Year, but currently we are doing nothing but focusing on completing parts to fill orders. New product announcements are now put off until after the first of the New Year as well unless things go better than expected. There are a couple of minor new products that will be announed in the next couple of weeks but not of significants as the future announcement will be.

The remaining parts for the McLaren MP4/6 kits are in their final stages of production and we hope to have them here in the shop by the first of December.

We are accepting pre-orders but won’t resume processing orders until we can ship rightaway or in a significantly shorter time frame. While this is beginning to strap the business for cash, it is the right thing to do at the present time.

Shipping of orders is taking place on Mondays only. We are doing this to create blocks of uninterrupted time to work, if we don’t implement this then too many other activities creep into the day and eat up all the time.

My apologizes that at the current time I’m not able to publish anything more noteworthy but I have set the priorities for what needs to be handled now and what needs to happen later.

Best Regards,

Paul

Equipment Fund Raiser Sale - ebay - etc.

Filed under: News — paul @ 12:22 am

Welcome Everyone to another update.

The sale of Tamiya 1/12th scale kits for the New Equipment Fund Raiser is going well. We are very close to placing the order for the first of 4 new machines, if we can get the order in within the next week we should be able to take delivery near September 1st.

Another batch of kits is up on ebay, here is one of the auction numbers: 250283970684 Simply copy the number and past it into the search box on ebay. Once the auction comes up select “View Seller’s Other Items” (located on the right hand side) and you can see the rest of the kits up for auction.

I still have three kids in the house to watch and take care of on a daily basis but school is starting in two weeks and I am more than ready to get back to running the business on a full time basis again.

I’m also very excited about the new equipment that will be arriving over the next 4 months and each machine will allow Thunder Valley to reach new heights of technology and move us even further into the forefront of what can be created and offered for all of us F1 model builders.

Thank You to everyone for helping with the New Equipment Fund Raiser Sale, without your help it would not be possible to move the business into these new areas and I apprecaite it very much. I’ll be posting photos of the shop as soon as we get everything settled and the new equipment in here. Hopefully I can do this around October 1st.

Speaking of dates, 2009 marks Thunder Valley’s 20th year. 20 YEARS!!!!! I’ll have to find a picture of the comapny back then so everyone can compare the “Then & Now”. What a difference those pictures will reveal. Right now it looks like 2009 will be a great year for the company and we will really strive to shack-up the future of f1 modeling.

There are more kits to sell and there will be more items to come, just as soon as the kids return to school and I can go through my goodie bins. A list will be published on www.f1m.com one week prior to listing whatever is remaining on ebay. I’ll put an update here each Sunday evening to let everyone know what is going to be listed on f1m each Monday and what will go up on ebay the next Sunday. If you know of anyone who would like any of these kits or be interested in other items that will be coming up for sale please send them a note with links on where to watch.

Kits that are already sold will be shipping each day as fast as I can get them packed up and head to the Post Office. I’ll be asking FedEx to make daily pick-ups for awhile as it is cheaper and it leaves me with more time to pack kits rather than driving clear across the city and back.

An e-Newsletter will be sent in very early September announcing the company’s new approach and direction for the future and my schedule/plans for September & October. If you’d like to be on the e-mailing list please send me a note and I’ll add your e-mail address. I’ll also send an e-Newsletter regarding the additional goodies that will be coming up for sale and this will coincide with the posts here and on f1m.

Both business’ are beginning to ramp up again and it is already getting really busy but as always, please send me a note to: info@thundervalleyf1.com or ring us at: 1.800.318.8541 if I can answer any questions or provide any information.

Kindest Regards,

Paul

Equipment Fund-Raiser Sale

Filed under: News — paul @ 3:26 pm

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday an e-Newsletter was sent out to touch base with everyone and to announce that we are selling a hord of 1/12th scale Tamiya F1 kits to raise some funds to purchase additional equipment. We also have a batch of the Revell 126C2’s and the F2002 and there are some Tamiay Porsche 935’s and 910’s.

We’re finding more and more goodies as we re-organize and perpare to get back to full-time work beginning Sept. 1st. This means we’ll send out another e-Newsletter very soon letting everyone know what else is up for grabs.

We will be closed for a few days in September so our boys can spend a little time with Grandma before we make the long run to Thanksgiving.

Here is the list for the kits up for sale, please contact me via e-mail for prices. The e-mail address is info@thundervalleyf1.com and the phone number is 1-800-318-8541

Ferrari 312T4
Ferrari 641/2
Ferrari 126C2

Porsche 910
Porsche 935

I also have a few of the Tamiay 1/6th scale Honda 750 Daytona Race Bike kits. Big, but very, very cool.

Even in the terrible August heat and humidity we’re working hard to get the shops split apart, re-organized and everything up and running. Beginning Sept. 2nd. and for the first week I will be reviewing all the paperwork associted with orders and/or parts that need to be supplied to everyone. After that week it will be nothing but get parts finsihed to complete everyone’s orders and take care of a lot of shipping.

I will ask in the e-Newsletter to be sent in early September for everyone to contact me via e-mail if they have pending items owed to them. I want to make as certain as possible that I don’t over-look or miss anyone. This will maek for a lot of extra paperwork for me but I feel it is improtant to do su.

In the meantime, if you’d like to help support the fund raiser project so we can get more equipment in here to produce even better kits in a much shorter time frame, and you might like to add a specific 1/12th kit to your collection then give us a call.

As always, don’t hesitate to touch base with us for more specific details.

Take Good Care Everyone,

Paul

Expansion & Preperation

Filed under: News — paul @ 2:52 pm

Hello….

We’re expanding the manufacturing space of the business and preparing for Fall production. We’re relocating all the equipent associated with my other company which will free up 200 square feet of space to be used for Thunder Valley. Presently, and with the growth of the two companys, we are tripping over everything and this is negatively impacting production. This will push us very close to 1000 square feet of office and manufacturing area. We are tackling this expansion now and will have everything relocated and up and running before Sept. 1st., which is the date my boys return to school and I return to working full time. I want to begin this time with nothing to address but getting product finished, completing orders and getting everything shipped.

Relocating equipment is a great deal more work than an expense, and even though I need to run electrical, vacuum & air plus build a few work benches and pull some equipment out of storage, the plan is to have this portion completed in two weeks or by mid-September. Then we’ll re-organize the space in the shop so production for Thunder Valley takes place much smoother.

Getting the two companys seperated will be a big benefit.

As always, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

Paul

What’s happening….

Filed under: News — paul @ 12:10 pm

This past weekend I was able to address some of Thunder Valley’s orders and pack some for shipping. There is a lot of paperwork to fill out before they go and I’ll be working on that this coming weekend. Summer is going well but I certainly wish I had more hours to work. Six weeks and the boys return to school and I gain my hour to work in return.

There are some updates to the site regarding products that will remain in production. Major announcements will happen in early September. The present focus will be to take care of the current orders and then begin again hopefully with a fresh start and new product. This will more than likely take Thunder Valley to the end of October which will then be a good time to intorduce new offerings.

As always, any questions or concerns PLEASE contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
